Rock ’n’ roll photographer

A photographer who made iconic images during the heyday of rock ‘n’ roll will give a show of his work and experiences Friday at the University of Wyoming.

Ethan Russell shot the album covers for The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and The Who, among other popular musicians. His work includes concert photographs, pictures made backstage, in the studio and at other, private, locations.

His presentation “Ethan Russell: The Best Seat in the House” will begin at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 20 at the College of Arts and Sciences auditorium.

The cover for Let It Be featured individual photographs of the Fab Four made by Russell during the recording and filming of that album. A dynamic collection of his work is available at his website.
