The 65th Wyoming Legislature convened yesterday with much talk about a coming fiscal “storm” but little anticipation that lawmakers will batten down the hatches this year.
The Wyoming GOP used social media and email to organize opposition to an anti-discrimination bill to protect LGBTQ workers. A major GOP donor in Wilson also urged legislators to kill the bill. But the bill passed the House Revenue Committee Friday on a bipartisan vote.
Republicans have already claimed half of the Wyoming House seats before a single ballot has been cast in the general election.
