The 2016 Governor’s Capitol Art Exhibition will be the inspiration for the next Wyoming State Museum Family Days program, to be held on Saturday, February 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“Wyoming is home to a variety of wonderfully talented artists,” said State Museum Curator of Education Nathan Doerr. “During our February Family Days, participants will be able to explore the works of 36 of these artists. Three pieces in particular will be used as inspirations for participants to create their own works of art.”

This year’s featured Family Days artists are Jenny Dowd of Alpine and Lynn Newman and Georgia Rowswell of Cheyenne.

Participants are invited to stop by anytime between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to explore the Museum and participate in the Family Days program.

Family Days is a free program of the Wyoming State Museum, sponsored by the Walmart Foundation, which provides children and their families with fun and educational opportunities to explore Wyoming’s natural and cultural resources.

The program is held the first Saturday of the month, September through May, at the Wyoming State Museum. Each month’s program has a different theme. For more information, contact Doerr at 777-7021.
